Cora "Ganny" Hackney

Cora Hackney, affectionately known as “Ganny” passed away peacefully on November 19, 2018, at the age of 93.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Callie Pierce and was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” Hackney.

She was a member of Central Church of Christ and is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Dan Sessions of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, Mitchell and Claudia Hackney of Chattanooga; granddaughters, Jenny and Eric Salmeron of Dalton, and Angela Erb of Marietta; great-grandchildren, Victoria and Max Rounsaville, Charly Salmeron and Jessica Pouncy.

Services will be held at 1 pm on Friday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Dan Sessions officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 until 1. Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

The family asks that flowers please be omitted and memorials be made to Central Church of Christ, 515 N. Tibbs Rd. Dalton, GA 30720.
