Daniel Raymond Hollsten

Daniel Raymond Hollsten, 58, of Lafayette, GA, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Hamilton Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Laura Hollsten, and his brother, David Hollsten.

Dan is survived by his wife of twenty-eight (28) years, Renita; beloved daughters who were his world, Kimberly and Dani Hollsten; sisters and brother-in-law, Laura Brenneis, Debbie Taylor, and Susan Roberts Gaul (Kenny); mother and father-in-law, Richard and Linda Ekkens; sisters and brother-in-law, Rae Beeman and Rhonda Cross (Russ); many nieces and nephews; special friends, Joe and Jackie Hughes, Ron and Bonnie Tarr, and Peter and Karen Sarnosky; and many military and firefighter friends.

Dan served an Army enlistment and served in the Air Force Reserve for 21 years, including deployments for Desert Shield and Desert Storm, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He served for twenty-seven (27) years as a Lieutenant Paramedic in the Orange County (FL) Fire and Rescue Department. Dan loved anything that dealt with aviation, especially military aviation.

A service to celebrate the life of Daniel Hollsten will be held at Love Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home from 3:00-4:00 p.m.
