Deforest "Buck" Bishop

DeForest (Buck) Bishop, 84, of Dalton passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019.

He was the son of the late Frank and Mamie Bishop and was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Jerry Ledford.

Buck is survived by his son, Terrell Bishop of Dalton; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Tony Lopez of Kennesaw; mother of his children, Betty Bishop Peitso of Dalton; friend and companion, Ruth Patterson of Dalton; sisters, Betty McPherson of Dalton and Virginia Hanners of Jupiter, FL; grandchildren, T. J. Long, Shan Plsek, Laney Bishop, Alex Bishop and Anthony Lopez; great-grandchildren, Luke Neary and Curven Plsek; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Pierce officiating. Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday from Noon until 2.
