Destin David Groves

Mr. Destin David Groves, 29, of Cohutta passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Ann Groves, aunts, uncles and family.

Destin was a stay at home dad to his son, Brayden.  He always had a smile on his face, loved music, food, cars, drawing and texting and was a friend to everybody. Destin was a great son, brother, husband, father and friend who fought a long hard battle with a Congenital Heart Defect. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Britney Forester Groves of the residence; son, Brayden Groves; parents, Danny and Kris Groves of Dalton; sister and brother-in-law, Courtney and Ryan Long and a brother, Dylan Groves all of Dalton; grandparents, David and Linda Franks of Rocky Face and Bill Groves of Dalton; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rebecca and Charlie Crider and Kenny and Trina Forester all of Dalton; nieces, Kenzie and Milly Long; other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many friends.

Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Minister Chris Bratton officiating and Caleb Callahan speaking.

Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.
