Dora Janet Stock

Dora Janet Stock, 83, of Chatsworth, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022. Janet was born on April 23, 1939, in Talmo, GA. She was the daughter of the late William and Beulah Butler. She is preceded in death by her husband, David Stock; son, Bruce Burkhalter; stepson, Sammy Stock; brothers, J. D. and William T. Butler; and mother-in-law, Rose Stock.

Janet is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Doug) Satterfield and Anna (George) Glenn; stepson, Morris Stock; grandchildren, Clay Satterfield, Ashley Satterfield, Megan Glenn, Chris Burkhalter, G. G. Burkhalter; great grandchildren, Colbey Satterfield, Leelan Satterfield, and Preston Satterfield; and sister-in-law, Jeanette Butler.

Janet married her husband in 1970, and along with her best friend, Buna Leonard, opened Cosmetique Beauty Salon. She was a beautician for more than 25 years. She also was a licensed Real Estate Agent. She was a member of the Sisterhood of Temple Beth El.

Graveside services will be held at Whitfield Memorial Gardens on Monday, June 6, 2022, at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Jewish Federation of Greater Chattanooga.
