Doris Jean Sharpe Smith

Doris Jean Sharpe Smith, 85, of Dalton passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022.

She was the daughter of the late Earl and Jennie Sharp and was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Smith, son, Richard Smith and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Myrtle and Emory Kerr Smith.

Doris was a member of Dalton First United Methodist Church. Known for her selflessness, she was devoted to her family and those around her.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Eric K. Smith and Mayra; grandchildren, Jacob F. Smith, Sydni L. Smith, Adam Smith and Benjamin A. Smith; sisters and brother-in-law, Patricia Hall, Brenda Chadwick (Vaughn) and Judy Burnette; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Essie Smith; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Friday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 until 2. Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
