Doris Ann Nabors, 87, of Dalton, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Ford Nabors; son, Eddie Eugene Nabors; great-grandson, Preston Wayne McAtee; brother, Roy Roper; niece, Shanah Brannon.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (David) Dunlap; sister, Catherine Stanfield; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Nabors; grandchildren, Kathryn (Chad) Bailey, Sarah Dunlap, Barbara (Ralph) Gilbert, Crystal (John) Spurgeon, Chris (Kim) Nabors; several great-grandchildren, step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; special friend, Myra Sheram.
Doris was a long-time employee of the Department of Labor. She had a multitude of beloved pets and is survived by her dog, Charlie. She enjoyed many hobbies including watching her soap operas, words searches, reading her Bible, Hallmark movies, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Rome, GA.
