Doyle Boyd

Doyle Boyd, 79, of Dalton passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at his home. Doyle is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Judy Boyd, his parents, Ernest Clyde and Lillian Pauline Boyd, and his sisters, Lois Cate and Colleen Powell.

Doyle is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Dan Trowell, and his grandchildren, Tucker Boyd Trowell and Jillian Jeanette (J.J.) Trowell. Many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great-nephews also survive.

Doyle was a veteran of the United States Army and served as a Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service in Dalton for forty-two years. Outside of his deep and compassionate love for his family, Doyle’s loves in life were his pets and bass fishing. He was also a retired volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.

Funeral services for Doyle Boyd will be on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Humane Society of Northwest Georgia (P. O. Box 3946, Dalton, GA 30719) or Habitat for Humanity (P. O. Box 2477, Dalton, GA 30722).
