Dr. William B. James

Dr. William B. James peacefully passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023, at 11:20 p.m. at Hamilton Medical Center, with his devoted wife, Irma Jane James, by his side. He was surrounded by his large and loving family, including his three daughters and spouses, six grandchildren and spouses, and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Dr. James arrived in Dalton in 1957 and dedicated 61 years of his life to practicing Dentistry. Throughout his career, he showed unwavering dedication to his patients and their families, always putting their well-being first. He was deeply committed to his faith, cherishing his relationship with God and his church family.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Friday, August 4, 2023, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Love Funeral Home. Funeral services for Dr. James will be held at Dalton Seventh-Day Adventist Church on Saturday, August 5, 2023, beginning at 2:00 p.m., Pastor Chester Clark officiating. Burial will be at Whitfield Memorial Gardens for family only. In remembrance of Dr. James, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to Dalton Seventh-Day Adventist School, a cause close to his heart.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and devotion. May he rest in eternal peace.
