Ed Jones, age 90 of Dalton, passed away peacefully at home, early Tuesday morning, with his daughters near him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnne Liles Jones. Also, parents, William Lewis Jones and Mary Sweeney Jones and sisters & brothers-in-law, Hazel and Kermit Stone, Charlotte Hudson, Roy Barton, and Pierce Liles.

He is survived by daughters, Laraine Jones, Leslie (John) Hudson, and Andrea (Roger) Hughes. Grandchildren, Whitney (Michael) Cantrell, Kingsley (Stephen) Strickhausen, Seaver Hudson, Weston (Lacy) Hughes, and Hogan Hughes. Great-grandchildren, Cole, Bray, Asa and Noa Cantrell, Marlie, Camdyn, Sloane, and Dakota Strickhausen, Riot Hudson, Coley and Hanes Hughes, Marge Barton (sister), Ann Liles (sister-in-law), nieces and nephews.

Heartfelt appreciation to special caregivers, Dalia Rodriquez, Elaina Sanchez and Peggy Hammontree. Special thanks to several other caregivers and Homestead Hospice Care in his last days.

There will be a private family celebration of his life on Sunday afternoon in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Griggs officiating. Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family is so grateful for so many who came, in January, to visit when JoAnne passed away and were able to visit personally with Ed at that time.  You are invited to share messages and memories with the family through the Love Funeral Home webpage or on Facebook.  Calls and cards are welcome.
