Edna Stinson Parker went to join our Lord on her 85th birthday. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren with so much love and passion. She loved Jesus with all her heart and made sure her family, friends, and anyone she may meet, knew how much her Savior meant to her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Parker; parents, Homer and Venie Stinson; brothers, Herchel (Louise) Stinson, Oscar (Ruby) Stinson, Albert Stinson, Jack Stinson and Joseph Stinson; sisters, Grace (Joe) Holloway, Thelma Cargle, Lillian (Theodore) Pinson, Lois (H.C.) Patterson, and Martha Stinson; daughter-in-law, Susan Hammontree Parker.
Edna is survived by her sons, Jeff (Pam) Parker, Jimmy Parker and Johnny (Gina) Parker; daughters, Pam Parker Garrison and Penny (Greg) Carnes; grandchildren, Grant (Lynsey) Parker, Megan (Jeremy) Talley, Jason (Jean Ann) Fields, Holli Fields, Mitch Parker, Zach (Alisa) Parker, Audrey (Matt) Chambers, Corey Paul, Caleb Parker, Brandon Parker, Tanner (Katie) Parker, Zach and Cameron Burnette, Trenn (Elizabeth) Carnes, Tucker (Jessica) Carnes and Taylan (Adam) Crawford; great grandchildren, Kade, Lexi, Ashton, Zoe, Tristan, and Ian Parker, Stone and Copper Hobbs, Landen Talley, Hadley and Landon Chambers, Havana and Iverson Waller, Gracie Coykendall, Cannon and Charlotte Carnes, Caliber and Elinor Carnes (due to arrive this summer); sisters-in-law, Virginia Stinson and Lucille Welch; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Friday at Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 until 9 at Love Funeral Home. Edna will lie in state at the funeral home Friday morning until the time of service.
