Edra Elizabeth Nix

Edra Pilcher Nix, 88, of Dalton, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Sherman Nix; grandsons, Brandon Nix and Stefan Nix; parents, Jeptha and Sarah Elizabeth Picher; siblings, Annie Mae Burnette, Ovelle Smith, J. T. Pilcher, Leonard Pilcher, William Carl Pilcher, Arah Hayes, Malvin Pilcher, Trammell Pilcher, Wilford Pilcher, Virginia Fisher, and Betty Jo Pilcher.

Mrs. Nix is survived by her children, Mark Nix, Troy Allmond, Scott (Kim) Nix, and Dawn (Ross) Maret; grandchildren, Shade Nix (Taylin Blackwell), Walker Maret (Amber Miller), McCall Maret, and Caleb Nix. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Mrs. Nix was a long-time member of Central Church of Christ in Dalton. She retired from Whitfield County Schools serving as a Cafeteria Worker at Valley Point Elementary School. More than anything, she loved and was loved by her children and her grandchildren.

Funeral services for Edra Nix will be held on Monday, October 24, 2022, at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Reverend Steve Griggs and Reverend Ross Jordan officiating. The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Sunday, October 23, 2022, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to Central Church of Christ, 515 North Tibbs Road, Dalton, GA 30720.
