Elizabeth Arnold Crockett

July 21, 1928 — October 15, 2020

Elizabeth Arnold Crockett, age 92, of Dalton passed away on October 15, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband David Otis Crockett, Sr. in 1994 and a son, Van Alan Crockett.

Elizabeth was born in Sylacauga, AL and graduated from Auburn University. She moved to Dalton in 1950 to be the Director of Christian Education at First Presbyterian Church. She served the church in many capacities through the years as church secretary, financial secretary and helping begin the week day Kindergarten Program that is the Child Care program today. She remained a member of Christ Church Presbyterian.

She is survived by her daughter, Jerre (Mike) Leonard. Her son, David (Janet) Crockett Jr.  Her grandson, David (Kristal) Crockett, III. Two great grandchildren, Stella and Emelia Crockett. Her brother, Tom (Sue) Arnold of Nashville, TN. Also, nieces, nephews and many favorite cousins that she loved to gather with each summer at a family reunion.

The family would like to thank the staff of The Gardens, Quinton Memorial Health Care and Hamilton Hospice for all their care and support.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 2:30 in the Sanctuary of Christ Church Presbyterian. Visitation will be before the service from 1:30-2:30 in the church Fellowship Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Church Presbyterian, First Presbyterian Church, or the Dalton Education Foundation.
