Mrs. Elizabeth ‘Libby’ H. Jordan, 86, of Dalton passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018.
She was the daughter of the late Roy and Emma Hardigree and was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Dan Jordan; brother, Jerry Hardigree; brother-in-law, Boyd Jordan; sister-in-law, Polly Jordan and grandson, Robert ‘Robbie’ Vance Hunsucker III.
Libby was a lifelong Methodist and active member of First Methodist. She was the secretary of the Fellowship Sunday School Class and member of the Altar Guild. She loved visiting shut-ins, gardening and traveling and has seen all but two states.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Deb and Vance Hunsucker of Dalton, and Jan and Mark Adamson of Alpharetta, Ga; brothers and sisters-in-law, Toby and Tina Hardigree of Watkinsville, Ga, and Clyde and Elaine Hardigree of Athens, Ga; grandchildren, Jordan Hunsucker, Chris (Ashleigh) Hunsucker, Scott (Karen) Adams and Daniel Adams; great-grandchildren, Kylee Hunsucker, Kason Hunsucker, Riley Hunsucker and Reese Hunsucker; special friend, Jimmy Ward of Dalton; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Dalton First United Methodist Church with Rev. Tommy Willingham and Rev. Chuck Harris officiating.
Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 until 7 p.m.
