Emiko "Mary" Buckner

Emiko “Mary” Buckner, 93, of Dalton, passed away at Hamilton Medical Center on Friday, August 20, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cruesoe Buckner, daughter, Irene Buckner and mother, Sumiko Kano.

She is survived by her sons, Marvin (Lorna) Buckner, Alvin Buckner, and Roy (Kimberly) Buckner; grandchildren, Samantha (Justin) Harris and Damon Transue; great-granddaughter, Aria Harris; brother, Yoshio (Yoshie) Kano; nephews and nieces, Yoshiro, Takamasa, Fusako and Ayako.

Emiko retired from Wal-Mart after 25 years of employment. She loved the Lord and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Dalton.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at Love Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 12:00 Noon at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Kelly Grant officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
