Evelyn Hawkins

Mrs. Evelyn Caldwell Hawkins, 95, of Dalton passed away peacefully in her sleep and went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 8, 2020.

She was the daughter of the late Charles and Viola Caldwell and was preceded in death by her husband, G.W. Hawkins; brothers, Robert Caldwell, Charles H. Caldwell Jr. and W.R. Caldwell.

Evelyn was a loving mom, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Wendell Pierce; grandchildren, Craig (Cherish) Pierce and Blake (Amy) Pierce; great-grandchildren, Grayson, Brady, Jackson, Grace, Jade, Allie, Blakely and Elly; sister, Frances (David) Carroll; brother, Maurice (Dorothy) Caldwell; nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
