Geneva Campbell Henton, born in Murray County, GA on July 11, 1923, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2020 in her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper and Edna Campbell; brothers, Cecil Campbell and George Campbell; sister, Jeanette Smith; and her husband of 49 years, Emmett Henton.

Geneva is survived by her brothers and their wives, Bill Campbell, Wallace and Vivian Campbell, Billy and Marcelle Campbell, Jim and Annette Campbell and Don Campbell; children and their spouses, Brian and Teresa Henton and Debra and Chuck Harris; grandchildren, Colby and Chelsea Henton, Meral Henton and Mary Campbell Harris; bonus grandchildren, Rachel and John Clark, Caleb Harris, James and Katherine Harris, Brooke and Chris Massey, Veronica and Carlos Prieto and Katherine Blackstock; ten bonus great grandchildren.

She was a graduate of Dalton Business School and worked in banking her entire career, serving in multiple roles including Vice President. Geneva was a member of First Baptist in Chatsworth until she married and joined Dalton First United Methodist Church where she was a third grade Sunday School teacher and adult Sunday School teacher and class president. She was a member of the American Business Women’s Association, the Antioch Ruritan Club and the Antioch Development Club.

Sadly, the family is not having a funeral or receiving friends, but a celebration of life may be held in the future.
