George Claude Ogle

George Claude Ogle, 86, of Dalton, passed away at his home on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cam and Dicie Ogle; brothers, Charlie Ogle, Richard Ogle, Earl Ogle, and Junior Ogle; and sisters, Pauline Caldwell, Mildred Sneed, Wahlice Lacey, and Lillian Peffley.

George is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Nora Lee Ogle; daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Bob Pipkin; grandchildren, Benjamin Pipkin, Matthew Pipkin, and Michael Pipkin; brother, Bruce Ogle; and sister-in-law, Jackie Ogle. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

George served his country as a member of the United States Army. He is a member of Grove Level Baptist Church. He retired from Shaw Industries, working in the same plant for over 44 years. George loved gardening and tinkering with cars.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of George Ogle will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Dr. Charlie Bridges officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
