Georgie Ruth Smith

Mrs. Georgie Ruth Land Smith, 82, of Dalton passed away Friday November 6, 2020 at her home.She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Arvil and Ruth Sane Land; husband, John Henry Smith; step - son Clay Earl Smith and step - daughter Carolyn Smith Nelson.Georgie is survived by her son,  Steven (Amy) Bailey of Dalton;  step-son, John Arvin Smith; grandchildren,  Brianna (Jeremy) Evans, Allanna Bailey, Logan Bailey and Savanna Bailey all of Dalton; great-grandchildren, Alston, Anderson, Aubrie, Analise, Asher and Adaline; brother, Jerry Land; sisters, Tempie Pierce and Jeanette (Jerry) Warnix; nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5-9 PM at the funeral home. Services will be held on Sunday at 2PM from the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Pastor Kelly Grant officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Baptist Church cemetery.
