Glen Smith

Glen Smith, 94, of Dalton, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021, at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Bessie Smith and sisters, Genevieve Harris and Mary Frank Green of Dalton.

He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Jennell Smith; sons, Bruce (Judy) Smith of Dalton and Ken (Vickie) Smith of Varnell; four grandchildren, Jennifer and Jamie Johnson of Dalton, Stephanie Smith of Maumelle, AR, Selena Smith and her fiancé, Michael Wilson, of Calhoun, and Brad Smith of Dalton; three great-grandchildren, Peyton Joy, Lilli Johnson, and Sawyer Johnson.

Mr. Smith was a World War II veteran. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at the age of 13 and was baptized on his 90 ^th birthday.

A private family service will be held with Reverend Bret Yaeger officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, where Mr. Smith will be laid to rest.
