Gordon Lee Franklin
November 17, 1929 — November 28, 2018
He was the son of the late Steed and Foy Lea Potts Franklin and was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Foster Franklin; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Ted Welch; and sister, Esther Franklin.
Gordon was a member of Olivia Baptist Church and loved fishing and the outdoors. He was retired from Shaw Industries where he was the head of the Maintenance Department.
He is survived by his grandson, Brian Cohran of Dalton and great-grandchildren, Connor Cohran and Kiersten Cohran.
Services will be on Saturday at Noon in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00 until the service at Noon.
