Helen Garland

Helen Garland, 74, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 13, 2018.

Helen was born on May 18, 1944 in Clayton, Ga. to Fred and Ruth Childers. She married Rick Garland in September 1964 and they had four children. From those four children she gained 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was a very talented florist, interior decorator, and gifted artist.

She was a devoted witness to Jesus Christ. Always sharing her testimony with others

Helen was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Ruth Childers and brothers Allen and Bob Childers. She is survived by her sister Maryanne Childers, and children Kelli, Greta, Ricky, and Holly.

Helen was one of the kindest people you could ever meet. She opened her heart and her home to many people over the years and she will be sorely missed.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 19 at ChristChurch Presbyterian with the Rev. Stephen Streett officiating

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Love Funeral Home.
