Henry Stewart Stansell

Henry Stewart Stansell, 71, of Dalton, passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. Henry is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Billie Stansell, and his father-in-law, James D. Blalock. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Susan Stansell; son, Will Stansell; daughter, Angel Stansell; grandchildren, Landon Dale and Olivia Dale; mother-in-law, Annie Blalock; brother-in-law, David Blalock; sisters-in-law, Linda Shepherd and Brenda McCurley; and special cousins, Beth and Mitch Edgeman (Sugar Valley), Phyllis and Danny Andrews (Bowdon), Diane Thomas (Ringgold), Terry Stewart (Ocala), and Pat and Andy Noland (Dalton).

Henry worked at Sheers of Dalton for 48 years alongside of Sherry Cady. He was loved and appreciated all his customers. He was a member of Dug Gap Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School for over 28 years. He also sang in the Church Choir.

Funeral services for Mr. Stansell will be on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Reverend Duane Mills officiating. Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery. Henry’s family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Pallbearers will be David Blalock, Mitch Edgeman, Nathan Gentry, Jeff Ward, and Mike Shepherd. Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to Dug Gap Baptist Church.
