Hubert E. "Gopher" Gossage

Mr. Hubert E. “Gopher” Gossage, 97, of Dalton passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019.

He was the son of the late Prater R. and Nora Staten Gossage and was preceded in death by is wife, Edna Ellis Gossage; brothers, Steed Gossage, Harold Gossage and P.W. “Quack’ Gossage.

Hubert was a WWII veteran of the United States Navy.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Shelia and Darrel Ledford of Cohutta; grandchildren, Lyle (Kayla) Ledford and Andrew Ledford; great-grandchild Ryker Ledford; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Deal officiating.

Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery with the American Legion Post #112 having graveside rites.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the funeral at 3p.m.
