James L. Colston, Jr.

James L. Colston, Jr. “Pete” passed away on Monday, June 8, 2020, one day shy of his 89 ^th birthday.

He was the son of the late James and Jennie Colston and was also preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Nancy Colston and brother, Michael Colston.

He served in the United States Navy on the USS Missouri during the Korean War.

He is survived by his children, Andrea Willingham (Sandy) and Jimmy “James” Colston (Kellie); chosen son, Bart Rich (Ashley); grandchildren, Kalen and Jordan Willingham, Ally, Max and Lilli Mainor, Harrison and Hannah Colston, Cal Rich, John Henry and Wells Wilkerson, and Creed and Ande Rich; great-grandchildren, Colston and Grayson Cleary, Creed and Karter Willingham; sister, Jean Smith and special caregiver and sister in law, Sandra Davis.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Gillean officiating. Burial will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
