James "Jimmy" Lambert

October 30, 1969 — January 6, 2021

Mr. James “Jimmy” Cecil Lambert, 51, of Dalton passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his father Malvin James “Jim” Lambert; grandparents, Cecil and Sabra Murphy Lambert and Calaway and Stella Adkins Frazier.

James was born in Clearwater, Florida and was very intellectual when it came to electronics and computers. As a young boy he excelled in math and after graduating high school he was approached by all branches of the military to enlist due to his abilities because they could not believe how well he had scored in testing. James worked at Shaw Industries until moving to Knoxville, Tennessee and then returned back to Dalton where he started working for Mohawk Industries.

He was very good hearted and loved helping others any way he could. He was a gentle soul and always smiled giving him the nickname “Smiley” among his co-workers. He gave nicknames to his family members and would always call them that whenever he saw them. You knew that James liked you when he picked on you, a trait he inherited from his father and that’s probably why he loved picking on his mother best of all. He was a loving husband, son and a friend to all who knew him. He loved target practicing and guns. With all of his health issues that he had to suffer he never complained. He had told his sisters that he was glad it was him who had to go through everything and not them.

James is survived by his loving wife of 9 years, Siriwan “Baby” Daitooktang Lambert; step-children, Thotsaphon Thanommittraphap and Yokkie Methawee of Thailand and Justin Bell of Dalton; mother, Daisy “Chief” Kathleen Frazier Lambert, siblings, Stella “Stinky" and Herman Pratt of Dalton Verla “Lulu” Steve Overby of Dalton, J.D. and Kathleen Davis of Fort Smith, AR.  and Anthony and Barbara Davis of Bradenton, FL; nieces that he loved as his own, Lorna “Cutie Pie” Pratt, Amanda “Little One” Pratt and Grant and Jenna Overby; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
