Janet Ellenburg Moore

Janet Ellenburg Moore, 78, of Dalton passed away Monday, July 29, 2019.

She was born on February 9, 1941 in Seneca, SC the youngest of 7 siblings and the last surviving one. Janet was an ORN at Hamilton Medical Center for 25 years and retired in 2006.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Janet is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Bill Blackwood; son, Robert Stoney Moore, Jr; grandchildren, Beau Blackwood and his wife Hannah, Allie Blackwood and Jackson Blackwood; great-grandchildren, Walt and Warner Blackwood.

She was a mother who dearly loved her family and friends. Jan Jan, as she was called by her grandchildren, loved her babies and was very present in their lives.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Quinton Memorial and special caregiver, Forrestine Cooper for their care.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Thursday from 12 to 3 p.m. A private graveside service will be held at West Hill Cemetery.
