Jerrica Jade Mathis (Hallum), 31, of Dalton, GA passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2020.

Born in Dalton, GA on September 23, 1988, Jerrica was the eldest of two children to Pat and Jerry Mathis of Tunnel Hill, GA. Jerrica graduated in 2006 from Northwest Whitfield High School in Tunnel Hill, GA. Following graduation, she attended Georgia Institute of Technology where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry Degree in 2010. She went on to earn her Doctor of Pharmacology Degree from Mercer University in 2015.

Jerrica began her Doctor of Pharmacy career in 2015 at Walmart Pharmacy in Broken Bow, OK. She went on to lend her services to the surrounding cities and counties where she continued to practice as a pharmacist at Walmart Pharmacy. She devoted countless hours to the education and care of the Pharmacy community. Her passion for her career was matched alongside with the love she had for animals. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed spending her free time volunteering and fostering animals at the local animal rescues and shelters.

Jerrica was extremely loyal and devoted to her family and friends. She was beautiful inside and out, with a huge heart always willing to help those in need. She was intelligent, thoughtful and full of life. She was known for her quick wit, her infectious smile and her kind and compassionate spirit.

Jerrica is survived by her loving parents Pat and Jerry Mathis, brother Jake Mathis and fiancé Kaleigh Hountz; grandparents, Geneva and Bill Johnson, Bobby and Jeanette Mathis; aunt and uncle, Pam and Jeff Parker, Terry and Sandra Mathis, Robin Hurney and fiance, Melvin Silvers, Tammy Mathis; cousins, Grant and his wife Lynsey Parker, Megan and her husband Jeremy Talley, Caroline and Taylor Mathis, Colby, Sydney and Abbie Grant, Marcus and Patrick Hurney, Kade and Lexi Parker, Stone and Copper Hobbs, Landon Talley.
