Jerry Land

Mr. Jerry Land, 81, of Ringgold, GA passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Hamilton Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arvil and Ruth Sane Land; wife, Mary Hicks Land; daughter, Felicia Shepherd; son, Tony Satterfield; sister and brother-in-law, Georgie Ruth (John) Smith; brother-in- law, Oliver Pierce and best friend, Ray Shaw.

Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a lifelong faithful member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and sang in the choir. He loved his family and his friends. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and friend. Jerry was a master woodcraftsman and a jack of all trades.

He is survived by his children and spouses, Tim (Cindy) Land, Mandy Land and Ronnie (Tina) Shepherd; sisters, Tempie Pierce and Janette (Jerry) Warnix; grandchildren, Maggie Shepherd, Ronnie “Speedy” Shepherd, Dallas Satterfield, Thomas Land, Caleb Land, Jacob Land and Hope Land; 1 great-grandchild; special friend, Maxine Foutz; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Pastor Kelly Grant officiating.

He will be laid to rest by his precious wife in West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour at 3 p.m.

The family is accepting flowers or memorials can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
