Jerry Lee Stanley

Jerry Lee Stanley, age 71 of Rocky Face, Georgia passed from this life on July 16, 2018, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born February 19, 1947 in Chattanooga, TN to the late William H. Stanley and Martha S. Stanley. Graduate of Valley Point High School he was a Veteran of the US Army and served in Vietnam. On June 7, 1969 he married the love of his life, Kaye Carol Ingle, they had two sons. He was an esteemed entrepreneur within the flooring industry and a generous soul who loved good conversation. Jerry’s special interests included hard work, raising a family and spending time with his three grandsons Henry, John and Sam. Some of his favorite times were spent with family, watching his grandsons play sports, growing his annual vegetable garden, attending University of Georgia football games in Athens and taking his grandsons fishing. He was a member of Rock Bridge Community Church in Dalton, GA.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Kaye Ingle Stanley; his two sons Jason Stanley and Stewart Stanley; his daughter in law Cynthia Stanley (Stewart); three beautiful grandsons Henry Landon Stanley, John Davidson Stanley and Samuel Lee Stanley; brother Ron Stanley (Bonnie); sisters, Melgena Smith and Faye Fowler (Charles); nieces and nephews.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, dedicated father, the world’s best PawPaw and a shining example of hard work, dedication and integrity. By God’s grace his legacy will live on for generations.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Evans and Rev. Max Caylor officiating. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 on Tuesday at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Rock Bridge Community Church, 121 W. Crawford St. Dalton, Ga 30720.
