JoAnn Cox Looper, 91, of Dalton, went to be with Her Lord Sunday, July 19, 2020 at her home.
She was the daughter of the late Cader B. And Ruby Martin Cox. She was married to the late Harry Stuart Looper, Jr.. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Cox and C.B. Cox Jr.; sister, Jane McFarland; husband, Stuart Looper; sons, Lee Glenn and Harry Looper III.
JoAnn loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a charter member of Fellowship Bible Church where she was active in Sunday School, The Missions Board, and prayer ministry. She also volunteered at Hamilton Medical Center, Youth Detention Center, and NWGA Girl’s Home.
She is survived by her daughter, Joan Parks; granddaughters, Miki “Victoria” Parks and Kim Parks; grandsons, Todd Looper (Beth) and Brian Looper (Shannon); great grandchildren, Davis and Annabelle Looper; sister-in-law, Bobbie Cox; special nieces and nephews and their children.
A private family graveside service will be held at Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Pastor Tim Chaney officiating.
A memorial service for JoAnn will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial be made to Fellowship Bible Church (2044 Dug Gap Rd. Dalton, Ga. 30720) or the charity of your choice.
