Joann Gee Mcmullen

JoAnn Gee McMullen, 76, of Dalton, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Hamilton Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert S. Gee and Ann Lou Gregory Gee.

JoAnn is survived by her husband of 57 years, James (Jimmy) McMullen; her daughters and their husbands, Connie Hardin (Mike) of Cohutta and Christa Byrd (Chris) of Dalton; her grandchildren, Christopher Nabell, Erica Phifer (David), Makayla Byrd, and James Byrd; her great-grandchildren, Parker Nabell and Sterling Phifer; her brother and sister and their spouses, Reed Gee (Linda) and Shirley Wright (Randall); her sisters-in-law, Hilda Frazier Phillips of Donalsonville, GA and Diane Tester of Dalton; and, her brothers-in-law, Tommy McMullen of Dalton and Johnny McMullen of Dothan, AL;  A host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews also survive.

JoAnn was co-owner, with her husband Jimmy, of Textile Industrial Welding, Inc. for 49 years. She was a member of Dug Gap Baptist Church.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Jo Ann McMullen will be Monday, January 25, at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Reverend Duane Mills and Reverend Byron Edens officiating. Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that any donations be made to Dug Gap Baptist Church, 2031 Dug Gap Road, Dalton, GA 30720.
