Joe Wayne Edwards

Joe Wayne Edwards went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, October 20, 2020.

He was born May 6, 1939 to William Jefferson and Ollie Mae Wilson Edwards. He was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church, Tunnel Hill, GA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Clayton and James Edwards and sister, Elizabeth Shook.

Joe is survived by his wife of 61 years, Wilma Jean Crider Edwards; daughters, Joann (George) Johnston and Kay (Labron) Cooper; son, Mark (Janet) Edwards; four grandchildren, Dana (Dave) Williams, Justin Edwards, Matthew (Brandi) Cooper and Cody (Heather) Cranmore; brothers, Billy Edwards and Alton Edwards; 14 great-grandchildren; special nieces and nephew, Robby and Darlene Shook and Donna Collins; numerous other nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a thank you to Hamilton Hospice, Tim Winterbottom and all the nurses that cared for him. Also a special thank you to Shelby Muha.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Friday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 until 8 PM and again on Friday from 10 until 2. Burial will be in Gordy Memorial Gardens.
