John David Gaddy Iii

Our precious son, father, husband, John David Gaddy III passed away February 4, 2020.

John David was raised in Dalton, GA and attended Dalton High School. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Tennessee Vols. John David loved the lake and bass fishing. He cherished his wife and children. His son Barrett 3, and daughter Marlee 8, was his world. His wife Jennifer was his rock.

John David was a member of Trinity Methodist Church, Boy Scout Troop 62. His scout masters Jack Rowland and Ed Million had a big influence on his life. He looked forward to Barrett’s involvement in scouting. John David received Boy Scouts highest honor, Eagle Scout. He was so proud to be an Eagle Scout.

He is preceded in death by his brother Nathan Gaddy.

He is survived by his wife Jennifer Gaddy, daughter Marlee Grace Gaddy, son Barrett John David Gaddy, nephew Laska Gaddy who he loved so much, parents John David Gaddy Jr. and Linda Faye Gaddy, sister Bryn Adamson (Chris), nieces Ava and Delia Adamson, loving in laws Ronnie Bivens and JoAnne Bivens, and brother in law Jeremy Bivens. Aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends also survive him.

A memorial service for John David will be held at 2 PM on Friday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Rev. Travis Martin officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 until 8 at the funeral home.
