John Reavis Metcalf

John Reavis Metcalf, 57, of Dalton passed away on Monday, August 12, 2019.

He was preceded in death by Mary and Johnny Metcalf.

John is survived by his wife, Lisa Metcalf of Dalton; sons, Tyler Metcalf and Tate Metcalf both of Dalton; daughter, Abbie and Alec Wagnon of Dalton; granddaughters, Whitley Grace and Ellie Ann Wagnon; Ann and Pete Mathis, Tondee and Billy Hudson, Marty and Jackson Register, Peter and Deanna Mathis, Joe and Sandy Duncan, Keri and Sean Cantrell, Lola Presley, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. John was a kind and gentle soul that was greatly loved by many.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Rev. Lathem Postell officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 until 7 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Center Valley United Methodist Church.
