Jonathan Alan Newberry

Mr. Jonathan Newberry, 38, of Resaca and formerly of Dalton, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Emory Hospital in Atlanta.

His father, John Newberry, preceded him in death.

Jonathan loved to be outdoors, on his tractor, hunting, fishing or just riding in the mountains.

He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Melissa Jackson Newberry of the residence; mother, Barbara Newberry of Chatsworth; sister, Prudence Newberry Byers of Dalton; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sandy and Bill Cookson of Gainesville, GA; brothers-in-law, Logan Snyder and Tyler Jackson; nephews, Shelby (Breanna) Byers, Tyson (Charli) Byers and Craig Byers; great-niece and great-nephew, Lauryn Byers and Lucas Byers; special friends, Nathan and Jackie Brown, Danny and Kim Walraven, Robert and Betty Collins.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm on Thursday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Brother Will Allen and Rev. Mike Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 to 9 pm at the funeral home and again on Thursday from 10 until services at 2.
