Joy Ellen Cook Durham

Joy Ellen Cook Durham, 91, of Dalton passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021.

She was the daughter of the late Harry and Lois Cook and was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert Durham, son, Chuck Durham and sister, Ann Painter.

Joy worked at Smith and Green Construction and then was a long-time secretary for the North Georgia Fair Association. She liked to knit and do puzzles.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Rick Wheeler; grandchildren, Matthew Christie (Cassie) and Charlie Stacy Durham; great grandchildren, Nora and Bennett Christie; brother, Erwin Cook (Sue); several nieces and nephews; special friends and staff at Dalton Place.

A graveside service will be held Monday at 2:30 PM at Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday from 12:00 until 2:00 PM at Love Funeral Home.
