Juanita W. Gibson

Margie “Juanita” Gibson, 86, of Cohutta, was called home to heaven on Saturday, November 4, 2023. She transitioned from this life peacefully at home with loving family by her side.

Waiting for her in heaven ready to greet her were her parents, Clyde and Ruby Whitener; brother, ‘Pistol’ Whitener; her loving husband, Hank Gibson; and infant daughter, Lisa Ann.

Those left here to cherish her memory are her three sons and daughter in law, Bobby Gibson, Mickey Gibson, and Danny and Fran Gibson; seven grandchildren, who affectionately called her Mamaw, Amanda, Lacey, Bre, Kyle, Derrick, Ethan, and Dakota; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Mike Whitener; cousins, nieces, nephews, and several dear friends.

Juanita deeply loved her family and her friends. She will be greatly missed and remembered with much love and affection. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 6, at 1:00 in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with her cousin, Dr. Lamar Whitener, officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at United Memorial Gardens.
