Judy Burch Moore

Judy Burch Moore, 91, of Dalton, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Hamilton Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late John and Laura Burch. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger J. Moore, Sr.; son, John B. Moore; and siblings, John Burch, Jr. and Lorraine Hawkins. She is survived by her sons Roger J. Moore II (Karol Knox) and Charles A. Moore (Judy McNabb); daughter-in-law, Anita Moore; ten (10) grandchildren; five (5) great-grandchildren; one (1) great-great granddaughter; and sisters, Jerrie Simmons and Nancy Breuer (Jerry). Many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Judy took pride in her role as a Majorette at Dalton High School in the late 1940’s. She was a Pediatric Nurse at Hamilton Medical Center.

Funeral services for Mrs. Moore will be held at 3:00  p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to the Humane Society of Northwest Georgia (P. O. Box 3946, Dalton, GA 30719).
