Levy "Lee" Melvin Dixon Jr.

Mr. Levy “Lee” Melvin Dixon Jr., 68, of Rossville passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 after his morning deer hunt.

He was the son of the late Levy and Doris White Dixon and was preceded in death by his stepfather, Alexander Malcolm Stewart and brother-in-law, Mike Eidson.

Lee was a real outdoorsman. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, and trail riding. Lee knew everything about nature and could do anything needed around the house. His memory will live on through all the things he taught his siblings, children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Dixon of Rossville; children, Carrie (Daniel) Scoggins of Ringgold and Casi (Curt) Hitchens of Rocky Face; grandchildren, Alena Rianne Stephenson and Calvin Carter Stephenson; brothers and sisters, Sandra Eidson, Kathy (Jim) Skeels, Jeff (Diane) Stewart, Pam (Eldon) Messinger, Bruce (Candy) Stewart, Alesia Dixon, Clay Dixon, Becky Dixon.

A private family memorial service will be held. The family will receive friends from 4 until 7 pm on Friday in the Family Life Center at Mount Vernon United Methodist Church.
