L.F. "Johnny" Pye, Jr.

L. F. “Johnny” Pye, Jr., 77, of Dalton, surrounded by his loving family passed away at Hamilton Medical Center on Friday, March 1, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, L.F. “Johnny” Pye, Sr. and Dorothy “Darlin” Wood Pye, and his sister, Devona Pye Poe. Johnny is survived by his loving wife, Kim Gaston Pye; children, L.F. “Sean” Pye, III (Janna) and Whitney Gay (Ty); grandchildren, Sean Ford Pye, Lauren Elizabeth Pye, Jonathan Tyler “J.T.” Pye Gay, and Luke Conner Pye Gay; niece, Jackie Poe; brother, Gary B. Wood; mother of his children, Sharon Jenkins Ellis; and grandmother of his children, Sarah Jenkins.

Johnny was Owner and President of Pye Automobiles, which was founded in 1946. He served our country in the United States Army and the Tennessee National Guard. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dalton. His greatest joy in life came from the love that he had for his wife, children, and grandchildren. That love was returned manyfold by all his family members.

Funeral services for L.F. “Johnny” Pye, Jr. will be held at Love Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 6, 2023, in the Chapel of the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at West Hill Cemetery.
