Maribelle Burnette Richardson, age 88, of Tunnel Hill, GA went to be with Jesus on October 28, 2024.
She was born on January 18, 1936 in Dalton, GA to the late Fate Edward Burnette and Effie Lou Burnette.
Maribelle was preceded in death by her loving husband William Arthur Richardson whom she was married to for 42 years. They resided in Tunnel Hill, GA all of their married life.
She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Joy Basden of Ringgold, and son, William Patrick Richardson of Tunnel Hill, as well as her granddaughter, Kristian Fae Williams (Tim) of Dalton, GA, and her three great grandchildren, Brayden Adam, Hailey Grace, and Kyleigh Grace. She also loved her special adopted grandson, Devin Henry very much. She is also survived by her sister Mattie Sue Callahan of Jasper, GA and her brother James Douglas Burnette of Chatsworh, GA, as well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and also great-great nieces and nephews.
Maribelle was a member of Tunnel Hill Community Church for 42 years where she sang in the choir. She was very strong in her Christian faith. Her favorite thing was spending time with her family, who all meant the world to her. Before retiring, she was employed at Hamilton Home Heath Care as well as Hamilton Medical Center cafeteria.
Funeral services to honor and celebrate Maribelle’s life will be on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Love Funeral Home from 5:00pm to 7:00pm for visitation and a celebration of life will be held at Tunnel Hill Community Church Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 11:00am with Reverend Jay Tenney officiating. In lieu of flowers it was her wish that donations be made, in her memory, to Hamilton Hospice, who showed her such loving care and grace when she needed it most.
