Mary Ann Pierce, 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 11, 2024. A resident of Dalton, GA, she was the wife of James E. Pierce, a well-known businessman in Dalton who co-owned the P&O Packaging Company. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Pierce; her loved stepdaughter, Kim Pierce; and her parents, Samuel Officer and Edna Officer, who were natives of Cleveland, TN.
She is survived by her brother, Gene Officer (Ann); niece; Julie Wilson (Dewayne) and their children, Caleb Wilson, Sam and Ali Wilson, Eli Wilson, Elizabeth-Anne and Kameron Arrowood, and Max Wilson. Ann was loved and cherished by her family and friends.
To know Ann was to love her. Her larger-than-life personality left an impression on everyone that met her. She was classy, sassy, and had the biggest heart of love for her Savior Jesus Christ as well as her family and all her longtime friends, which she considered family.
The family would like to thank the following who have helped care for Ann these past couple of years: Brenda Patterson, Vivian Green, Remember Me Senior Care of Cleveland, TN, and Hearth Hospice, all who made her transition and journey to her permanent home peacefully joyful and full of love.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. A memorial service for Mrs. Pierce will follow IN THE CHAPEL OF LOVE FUNERAL HOME AT 2:00 P.M. The family requests that in lieu of flowers you make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105) of which Ann was a supporter.
