Mary Alice Tolbert

Mrs. Mary Alice Tolbert, age 78, of Rocky Face, Georgia, peacefully entered the gates of Heaven on Friday, June 7, 2024, at her residence.

Mrs. Tolbert was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Reverend Roy Tolbert, along with her parents, Malcolm and Mary Sue Dennis and brothers, Phillip and David Dennis, all of Bessemer, Alabama.

She leaves behind her greatest blessings: her daughter, Alesia (Mike) Toler of Tunnel Hill, and son, Ronnie Tolbert of Ivey; daughter-in-love, April Tolbert of Gordon; her grandchildren, Amanda (Eric) Burnette of Rocky Face, Ashton (Dustin) Horton of Ringgold, Josh Amerson of Ringgold, and Brandon (Kristin) Tolbert of Gordon, along with her great-grandchildren, Savannah Burnette, Kayleigh and Little Dustin Horton, Konner, Kameron and Kyler Amerson, and Emersyn Tolbert.

To know her was to love her – she endured a lot while on this earth, but she is now in Heaven singing with the angels.  If she knew that there was a need of anyone in her family, she would go without to be sure they were taken care of.  Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy and she loved them BIG.  She had a dry-spirited wit about her that only they were privy to, and they will carry those fun memories in their hearts and souls forever.  The salvation of her loved ones was of utmost importance to her, and we have all felt her love and prayers throughout our lives.  She will be greatly missed but NEVER forgotten.  There will never be another Mom or Nanny like ours...She was truly one of a kind.

Her celebration of life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Love Funeral Home, 1402 N Thornton Ave, Dalton, GA 30720, with Reverend Steve Ard officiating. The family will receive visitors beginning at 12:00 P.M., with the service following at 2:00 P.M.  Interment will follow the service at West Hill Cemetery.
