Mary Martha Wilson

Mary Martha Williams Wilson, 95, of Dalton, passed away at the Florence Hand Home in LaGrange, GA on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Lamar Wilson and her parents, Henry and Eva Williams. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Scarborough (Bill) and son, Mike Wilson (Denise), both of LaGrange; grandchildren, Robert Wilson (Jessica), Brian Wilson, Karen Connolley (Chris), and Brannen Scarborough (Julie); great-grandchildren, Collins Wilson, Davis Wilson, Mary Brannen, Harper and Peyton Connolley, and Charlie and Ren Scarborough.

Mrs. Wilson loved to play bridge, belonged to the Red Hat Society, and served as an election poll worker. She was an active member of Varnell United Methodist Church. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the staff at Florence Hand Home and AngelCare in LaGrange for their compassionate care of Mrs. Wilson, and the multitude of special friends that were like family in the Dalton area.

Funeral services for Mary Martha Wilson will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Varnell United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Thursday, May 25, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Varnell United Methodist Church Memorial Fund (P.O. Box 307, Varnell, GA 30756).
