Maurice Eugene Daffron

Maurice Eugene Daffron, 86, of Dalton, passed away at his home on Friday, November 5, 2021. He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Pinion Daffron, parents, William and Frankie Daffron, sister, Rebecca Bryson, and niece, Teressa Bryson. Mr. Daffron is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Trenette Patton; his granddaughter, Sarah Greeson (Tyler); his great-grandchildren, Esther Elizabeth, Tabitha Jane, and Charles Reece Greeson; nieces and nephews, Patti Arrington, Debra Van Wambeke (Bill), Brenda Levin (Larry), Kenneth Daffron, Donna Daffron, Pete Daffron, and Jimmy Daffron.

Mr. Daffron was devoted to his family, loved unconditionally, had the patience of a saint, and a heart of gold. He was truly a cherished gift from God and now forever an angel in heaven. He served Dug Gap Baptist Church faithfully for many years, teaching Sunday School there for over 60 years. His presence will be missed by many. Mr. Daffron also served our country faithfully by serving in the United States Army.

Funeral services for Mr. Daffron will be on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday prior to the funeral at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. The family asks that flowers be omitted, and memorials be made to Dug Gap Baptist Church, 2031 Dug Gap Road, Dalton, GA 30720.
