As we reflect on Mindy’s life, we feel a sorrow too deep for tears. Mindy was predeceased by paternal grandparents Helen and Billy Blackman and maternal grandparents Jo and Jim Thompson, all of Shreveport, LA, and her uncle Fred Davis of Memphis, TN.
She is survived by her parents Dr. Bill and Linda Blackman, her brother Dr. Scott Blackman (Gabrielle), her nieces Sarah and Joanna Blackman, all of Maryland; her aunt, Toni Davis, of Olive Branch, MS, and cousins, Lee Davis (Britany) of Olive Branch, MS, Donald Courtney and Sarah C. Brown of Birmingham, AL, Steve Courtney of Cary, NC, and Scott Courtney of Charlotte, NC, Marcia Bradberry, Matt Bradberry and David Bradberry all of SC, and Michael Bradberry of Houston, TX; extended family members, many special friends, and her Needlemania group at Christ UMC in Chattanooga.
Mindy was joyful, loved color and all things bright and beautiful. She would prefer no black attire worn at her visitation in the church Atrium on Saturday, October 1, from 1-2 pm or her service at 2 pm in the Chapel of Dalton First UMC.
Any memorials may be directed to the Humane Society of Northwest Georgia at 1210 Veterans Dr., Dalton, GA 30721.
