Michael Edwin Cantrell

Mr. Michael E. Cantrell, Sr., age 64, of Dalton, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Emory E. Cantrell, his mother, Carol Louise Moore, and his stepfather, Farris “Butch” Moore.

Michael is survived by his wife, Christie Cantrell; his children, Lindsay Bennett (Cole), Heather Cooper (Kat), and Michael Cantrell, Jr. (Julianne); and his seven (7) grandchildren. Uncles and cousins also survive.

Michael spent his career working as a Real Estate Appraiser for the Dalton area and throughout the state of Georgia.  He loved adventure and lived life to its fullest.  Michael loved spending his time bass fishing, racing dirt track, hunting, and eating with friends.  After retiring, Michael enjoyed traveling, with his favorite trips being out West.  Michael had a great love for his family and friends.  He will be deeply missed by his many friends, family, and all who had the privilege to know him.

Funeral services for Michael E. Cantrell, Sr. will be on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Love Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery.
