Mildred Johnson

Mrs. Mildred Dillingham Mallett Johnson, 89 of Dalton went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday March 2, 2019.

She was the daughter of the late G. E. and Dollie Staten Dillingham and was preceded in death by her first husband, James “Ed” Mallett and second husband, Melvin Johnson; sisters, Ruby Gillian, Edith Apple and Louise Farlett.

Mildred and Ed were lifelong members of the Church of God of the Union Assembly. She loved to entertain at church events playing the piano or singing. She also loved singing in the church choir.

Mildred is survived by her children and their spouses, Brenda and Ernest Brown of Rocky Face, Billy Edward and Darlene Mallett of Dalton, Michael and Elaine Mallett of Rocky Face, Shannon and Susanne Mallett of Dalton; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Southern Haven Assisted Living and Homestead Hospice for their love, care and compassion they gave to Mildred and her family.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Church of God of the Union Assembly with Rev. Charlie Pratt officiating.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Monday from 5 to 9 p.m.
