Nancy Trevillyan Kenemer

June 11, 1932 — December 28, 2022

Nancy Trevillyan Kenemer, 90, of Dalton, GA. went to be with her Lord and Savior, December 28 th , 2022. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Colonel Jack Kenemer, of the United States Army, and her parents, Frank Trevillyan and Teddy Lee Trevillyan.

Nancy was born June 11, 1932, in Wichita, Kansas and spent most of her childhood in Little Rock, Arkansas. She graduated from Brenau Academy in Gainesville, GA where she commuted by train back and forth to Little Rock. She also attended the University of GA where she was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority. She was an active community member where she served as a girl scout leader for many years and an honorary boy scout leader for Troop 60, Dalton First United Methodist Church. She was a volunteer band and swim team mom, supporting her children and grandchildren throughout the years. She served many years as a Kindergarten Teacher at both St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and Dalton First United Methodist Church, where she was a member. Later in life, she worked at Wood Dale Nursing Home as their Activity Director and received the State of GA. Activity Director of the Year Award. Her love of children led her to finish her working career at PEDS Care of Dalton, where she was able to work with many families in the community.

She is survived by her children, Cindy Edmondson (Stacy), Kathy Purvis (Gus), John Kenemer (Tammy) as well as her beloved grandchildren, Levi Purvis (Kristi), Brandon Kenemer, Zach Kenemer (Lindsey), Kyle Harrow, (Annie) and Robby Case, and her great grandchildren, Cole and Myles Purvis, Nora and Shelby Kenemer, and Kayde Harrow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Humane Society of Northwest GA, 1210 Veterans Dr., Dalton GA, 30721. The family would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Regency Park for the love and care they provided Nancy during her stay. There is a family graveside service planned for January 7, 2023.
